In Memory of Tom Kell - 1950-2021

Tom Kell, prolific songwriter, performer and beloved music teacher, passed this life in September of 2021, After months of grieving his loss, I finally conceived this portrait which includes his beloved cowboy boots (he had shelves full). This is a wholly original concept based upon memory, a collection of photos thru the years, and a touch of fantasy on my part. Probably one of my most original paintings. I hope Tom would approve (I tried to get the hair right). I failed I think to convey his electric blue eyes, so maybe I will have to try a second painting. He was a wonderful and unique human being and he is sorely missed We love you, Tom.
