Blackie. 1920-98

This is my dad when he was in his prime. A man who built houses, fixed TVs, and provided for his family. People ask me if I, like so many others, had a difficult childhood. I almost feel embarrassed to say that I had a wonderful childhood. My mom and dad were good, sober, hardworking people. We weren’t the richest kids, but they made sure we never went without the necessities. They are both sorely missed and lovingly remembered. Hope you like this, Daddy. It is mostly watercolor with a little gouache and panpastel on Saunders watercolor rough paper.
