Colorado Girl

From a photo long ago, I wanted to capture this girl in the wild and spectacular landscape of Colorado. I worked on this a long time without finishing it. The likeness was very satisfying and I felt I had captured what I wanted so I left it basically unfinished. I know if I had gone into detail on the background, I would have diminished the power of her in the painting. So I left it basically as a study. But because I like it so much, I thought maybe somebody else would also.
