Rain Break

Inspired by a fabulous film about hummingbirds (creatures of “pure joy”), this almost instantaneous capture of a hummingbird taking a rain break was born. The background is done with a wash; the bird and the foreground are executed with pastels and some pastel pencil on pastelmat archival paper. Framed in a 16 x 20 frame, double matted.
